An Existing Fairytale that was taken away by reality

We may never have been able to,
Despite all the times you and i could,
It all began the night we set our eyes upon each other,
And when you left, I began to ponder,

A week went by,
Didn't even realize time flew by,
Was that a spark I felt inside my heart,
When I saw you and your killer smile,
On the night that you took me by surprise.

It felt like a roller-coaster ride,
As we talked through the night,
The thrill of sitting next to each other,
Only to be stolen by the deceiving reality,
That you were leaving the very next day.

Despite that,
It definitely is a treasure,
the connection we had,
